Jeff Edelstein, P.E. is a private consultant providing mediation and facilitation services for public policy and environmental issues. Jeff holds an engineering degree from Cornell University and is a registered professional engineer; he specializes in the resolution of highly technical issues, particularly in the area of water resources. Jeff’s work has ranged from facilitating local community forums to mediating federal legislation. In addition to water resources projects, he provides mediation and facilitation services throughout the U.S. on a wide range of technical issues, including solid wastes and recycling, oil and gas drilling, forest management, land use, and coastal zone management. Jeff led the CBI team that facilitated the 2007 national stakeholder process on the future of US Coastal Management for NOAA and the Coastal States Organization. He is currently mediating an interstate dispute between Kentucky and Ohio focusing on the intersection between the Clean Water Act and the Safe Drinking Water Act.
